I'm not okay (I promise)

  1. I need to find the BEST tabs for I'm not okay (I promise). I can only play the intro/chorus from the tabs I printed out but it's only the intro and I can't find any other good ones. I don't have power tabs or guitar pro or stuff like that and I also looked on youtube for recommendations but still nothing.
    help?

    Watch a live video and tab it yourself.That's the best way to go.

    You don't even need a video. I rarely use tabs now. They're wrong most of the time.

    Tabs are just people figuring it out by ear, it'd probably be better if you did it yourself and you'd learn a lot from it.

    So my band played this song at a small show we did and it sounded pretty good. This is exactly what we did:

    Basically, this is the layout of the song (play with CD to understand fully):

    LEAD: Skip the first chord in the intro because the rhythm plays that, but you come in on the lead intro (the octaves). Then you play the basic verse, and then you go back to playing the intro as the chorus.
    Verse, chorus, lead solo, bridge(Forget about the...all torn and frayed), slow chorus, bridge again (But you really need to listen...trust me), chorus x2.

    RHYTHM: You play the first chord of the song, hitting it on all down strokes before and as the drums come in. Then go into the basic chorus, playing this as the lead plays the rest of the intro. Then you play the basic verse, except you play it with a weird rhythm (sort of a 1-2-3 except a lot of emphasis on the 1... it's complicated, just listen to the CD).
    Basic chorus, verse, and play the 1st 3 chords of the basic chorus kind of slow, the same speed as the lead guitarist for the lead solo. Then you both play the bridge together, slow chorus, bridge again, and chorus x2.

    And to get that cool sound at the end, one person slides there fingers towards the body of the guitar on the low strings while strumming like crazy, and the other person slides their fingers the opposite way, doing the same thing.

    KEY:
    # ^ # = A bend: The fret your finger is on(1st #) bends(^) to the note on a different fret(2nd #)
    # > # = A hammer: Pluck the 1st number fret then hit (>) your finger on the 2nd number fret.
    x = muted
