I just started reading this and it A-MAZING!
I'm so happy to see another one of your storys! YAY!
I haven't started reading it yet because i have friends over and were about to go to sleep as well seeing as its 2:00am, hehe. But i just saw the next story and i really can't wait to read this tomorrow!!! ^_^
I sat on the couch, staring blankly out the window as the rain fell. Everything I did, everything I looked at reminded me of her. I could almost see her playing in the downpour. I smiled slightly as I remembered the times she’d drag me out in it.
I walked into the kitchen only to find Juliet sitting by the bay window, watching the rain hit the ground and the glass. I stayed behind, watching her smile as she continued to watch the rain. She always liked the rain. Usually by now she was pulling me outside, but this time I’d beat her to it. With a smirk, I came up behind her. Putting a hand on her shoulder, she turned and faced me, still smiling.
“What is it?” she asked; a slight giggle in her voice.
“Come on,” he said, taking her hand and leading her out the door.
We stood there in the middle of the downpour, getting soaked. She looked at me and I gave her a playful grin. She did the same and started giggling again, like a little girl. She tilted her head back and held her arms out to the sides, spinning in circles as she let rain hit her face. She closed her eyes and enjoyed the feeling. She didn’t realize where she was going until she bumped into me.
“This is amazing!” she exclaimed excitedly.
She wore the biggest smile I’d ever seen her with. Seeing it made me smile even more. We didn’t say anything, only stood there. Suddenly, I moved closed to her. I put my hands on either side of her face, stroking her cheeks with the sides of my thumbs. She laughed slightly, her breath catching in her chest as I slowly moved in closer. There was hardly an inch between us.
“I love you,” I whispered.
Her smile seemed to widen slightly.
“I love you, too.”
I leaned in and kissed her gently on the mouth. She wrapped her arms around my neck, and we deepened the kiss, but not too much. I moved my arms around her waist and pulled her closer to me. We looked in each other’s eyes for what felt like an eternity, and we kissed again, just like before. We pulled away after a few tender moments, and I saw a slight blush coloring her perfect cheeks as she smiled.
“Are you happy?” I asked and she nodded.
“More than ever. You’re all I need to be happy, and that’s never going to change.”
“Promise?” she asked softly.
I nodded and pecked her lips lightly for reassurance.
When had that changed; or more importantly, why? Why did I feel the need to validate myself with alcohol and drugs? I had her to keep me happy. And she never failed at it. I took her love for granted, and now I had lost it. But I was determined to get it back. And I wasn’t going to stop trying until she loved me again.
Keep trying Gerard!!
