The photoshop I use is an old version too, I should probably look into getting, or downloading (shhh) a newer version. I wonder if anyone here knows where or how to download one free. hmm. *cough*someone PM me *cough* ..
That is amazing!
You've really got talent xD

Thanks ForsaknAngel.!
I have a ton of real life drawings as well. It's just not so much the area of drawing that interests me, BUT to do ANY kind of style of drawing you benefit a great deal from realistic drawing. You need to know how to draw things as they really are in order to distort and animate the same things properly and convincing..ly.

As far as tips, I'd say just keep doing what you're doing. I drew realistically for a long time before I started to notice my work transforming into something more cartoony like it is now. As long as you keep drawing as much as you can, no matter what you draw, how you draw, or what style you draw in, you will begin to develop a style that is all yours. Also you can look to other artists you like and try to draw with their style. Experiment with differnt styles and the things from those styles that fit your personality will be the things that stick in your head and carry over from style to style, and eventuall you'll have an army of elements unique to you.

I'm probably rambling at this point but oh well, lol. I never liked how I drew noses for the longest time, and eventually I saw someone's art with noses I thought were cool, I tried to draw them the same way, and the more I drew it the more it became my own, and I carried it into every style I tried. Each style I emulated, something I liked would stick and carry over, and so on and so on, until I felt I had a style that was mine.
