Maybe Bass? They're both good in different ways. I'm starting guitar since I have one, but whatever is an option I say go for it.

Well..Guitar, in my opinion is harder to learn, but has more cool solos and riffs, and etc.
Bass is also really cool, it helps the band stay in time, it gets some pretty cool solos every now and then. Besides, a lot of people who play bass are pretty awesome =D

I would say guitar. Only because I have never played a bass, and I used to play guitar until I sold my accoustic.

I'm going with bass because it's the ultimate instrument for the lazy. It took me all of seven minutes to learn my first song. Now I learn in three minutes or less.
The only downside is the pain, but that lessens a lot after a while.

You should go on guitar first.
If you know the power chords on guitar, the try bass so.
but it's great when you choose guitar first.

you should practice some tabs and power chords.
