do you have to learn acostic guitar before you learn electric?
No, but it would probably help. I learned acoustic for 2 and a half years before my parents even considered letting me play electric. It definitely helped to build my finger strength up, because the acoustic strings are further away from the frets than the electric strings.
But it's just whatever you feel that's best for you.
hell yeah.Acoustic before electric and double bass before bass guitar.(even though double bass is WAY different, it's still good to learn some shifting)
BTW,I play all of the instruments described(not acoustic that much and when I have my fucking electric guitar.xD)I think you should play both.

I don't know, but I don't think that playing acoustic before electric makes all that much difference.
I started straight on electric but my sister started with acoustic and it's not made a difference either way.
I'll go with bass. Well... It's my favorite instrument. And yeaah, it's kind of hard 'cause your fucking fingers never stop hurting, but wow.. It's a really cool instrument.
My fingers never hurt.Unless I finger pick too fast.String burn is no joke.=|
