I do deny it lol.

Obviously you can't compare them with bands from the past like Queen and Bowie etc etc. But I don't think they're overrated at all. Most of the people who review them have at least one bad thing to say and others just completely slate them.

I don't want people to think I'm one of these people who have creepy shrines to them or anything like that...because I'm far from it. I can see their faults as much as the next person. But I think they get a fair share of criticism and praise.
Just my opinion. Don't wanna force it on anyone. lol.

Anyway, I guess it's great that they are so famous, because more and more people are starting to like them and it will start to bring them away from the shitty rap music that they listen to, and it's great that they are starting to appreciate what an amazing band Mcr are

Sure, they may not be the best band in the world, but there sure are a shitload of bands way more horrible.

I think overrating is overrated, I've seen so many bands being called overrated but by the end of the day they still have same or more fans and their music means something to them. I've been told MCR is overrated and Placebo is overrated too, but you know what, for me they're not since their music has some effect on me and I don't care if their music will become a legend or no, after all that's what music is about, not about being the best but having some kind of meaning and making people feel and feel identified with it.

But focusing on MCR, I don't think they're overrated, I think their image is over-exploded, you can find MCR almost in your cereal box and it's kind of getting sort of like KISS did on their time, not exactly the 'best' music, talking in a technical aspect, but the way they managed the band ended up creating a whole empire around them, same is happening to MCR but not in the same proportion. But once again....

overrating is overated
