G! Festival is a real festival, Faroe Islands is a real country, it's in the middle of the North Atlantic.
Prologue
"Oh gosh, this is going to be interesting," I thought, as I settled into the seat. I looked out the window and took a last glance at England, my home of two years.
I was going back to the middle of nowhere. I thought to myself, that I wouldn't want to stay for too long, now that I had seen the outside world, seen what the world could be.
The date was July 16th 2007, and the plane was just taking off. I was going home.
If I get enough supporters for this new not-entirely-fictional drama, I will continue posting newer, better chapters.
Enjoy!

I love you.
Read as Lindsay Hawkins tries to balance taking care of her brothers
school and herself, while drinking the thoughts away and falling in love with a
boy who barely gives her a second glance. She just wants to be loved.
Will she win his heart and prove to herself that
she is good enough?

I'll locate it within the next two days, and the first thing I'll do is update I promise!

OMG *is even more gutted*
I'm a school !!! I'm going to be sold on ebay xD
Ahem..
Updation time
Chapter One: G! Festival
"Come on, hurry up!" I squealed, as I put on my big buffalo boots.
"Alright, alright, I'm coming," Kitty said and opened the bathroom door.
I only needed one look at her face to be lying on the ground and laughing. It was painted red and she had whiskers and God knows what.
I took one last glance in the mirror.
A red 'G' and an exclamation mark were painted on my cheek, framed with black eyeliner. My eyes were framed with black, shaped to make cat eyes, and on my other cheek I had pink whiskers.
I had also painted my nose, to make myself look a bit like a cat.
"We should have done this the other way round," I said to Kitty, but she just dragged me by my nightgown.
It was from the 50's and my mother had sewn pink silky strips down the front.
We were all dressed up and kitted out with facial paint, ready to head for the festival area, where we were going to make some extra money by painting people's faces.
"Hey, how much for face paint?" someone asked, and poked the sign around my neck.
"5 cents," I said and smiled.
The guy gave me a quarter and hiccoughed, and pointed to his cheek.
"Can you give me the logo on this cheek and a smiley on the other?"
Most people were like this, they gave us quarters, a dollar, sometimes two... they didn't bother getting 5 cents out of their wallet or asking for change, because they were all more or less drunk.
This was only two days after I'd gotten back from England, and already I was doing such strange things as this.
But then again, I had worn a plastic chair on my head during easter, and last Christmas, I wore bright pink stockings on my head and plaited neon green and blue in it.
Of course, I had a smiley painted on my cheek too.
And of course I had to meet my former crush, who still managed to dazzle me with his smile.
Oh well no big deal, people had always thought of me as a weirdo. I never thought over things too long, I tended to act on impulse, and I'd rather regret doing something, than regret never daring to do it. Still, the thing with the pink stockings was a bit embarrassing.
"Hey, when does school start?" I asked Kitty while we walked to the beach, down to the big stage.
"Exactly a month, why?"
"I'm kinda nervous," I replied.
"Why would you be nervous, you never are," she snorted. "And don't worry about what the others say... you never did that before."
"I guess you're right," I sighed.
"Oh my GOD!"
I turned around and saw all the girls from my class in elementary school.
"LYN-Z!" they all squealed and ran over to greet me.
"It's been so long," someone said.
"How have you been?" someone asked.
"Why are you dressed like that?" somebody laughed.
I answered their questions, we hung out for a while, and then Kitty and I ran back to my house to get ourselves dressed in somewhat normal clothing, only, none of us really wore normal clothes.
She liked her trousers loose and tops big, I liked skinny jeans and band tees. Both of us loved quirky accessories, mine were only a lot darker than hers.
We got back to the main stage, just in time for the band to start.
I was dressed in dark skinny jeans, a top my dad had gotten me in London and a hat my mother bought for me there.
My eyes were still framed with black and my hair had been sprayed with pink hairspray, so that I could run around with pink stripes.
The band, Boys in a Band, was a lot like Franz Ferdinand, kind of the local Franz Ferdinand, really.
After the concert we walked around the area, saying hi to all my old friends, and people took notice of me.
The English girl they said. That, what's-it-called... emo girl.
Emo wasn't big in the Faroe Islands, people barely knew anything about it.
They didn't know I took it quite so personally, but by the time school started, I had grown somewhat used to it
