Tbh though, I'm so fed up of "emo" being a label, fed up of all labels. Yes the article argues both sides, "emo" is or isn't bad, but even if they said "emo" was the best thing in the world or the worst, I'd still be pissed off because I just don't understand how people can decide to dictate how people live their lives and know the complexities of any one person. I can't just pick a stranger out of the street and know them and their life, so why do so many people think they can, especially if it's in a negative way?

Fuck stereotyping FTW.

It surprises me how fucking ignorant some people are. What makes them think they have a right to criticise people for the way they dress or from what music they listen to? And that entire article is probably the most offending thing I've ever read. "Emo looks". They actually wrote that. "Emo looks". What sort of messed up shit is that? And they say converse trainers are emo? And that picture of MCR was up there too.
I honestly think some people on this Earth should just go crawl into some dark hole and die there. Because the world is polluted with piss-heads like that.

wtf was that? does that mean because you wear black jeans and shirts you are "emo"??! and because you wear Converse you are "emo"? so if we dont want to be this so called "emo" we should not wear black and Converse? if we like those style of clothings what will they do about it..? if we want to listen to this band and this type of music they always have something to say stuffs like emo is like this emo is like that.. they are suicidal and depressed and bad influence.. blah blah! dont criticize people! we all have our own style.. im not emo but i hate to be labelled emo just because i wear black. tired of anything about emo! we are free to listen to what music we want, free to wear clothes we like and free to do hairstyles we like. stop labeling people! specially MCR!

well i agree with some of it. and at least some are saying that theres nothing wrong with being emo, punk, goth an whatever.
labeling really annoys me, but it does help when trying to explain things and get the 'normal' people to stop asking quetions-often people are afraid to be and of being different.

I hate reading garbage like this. Talking about bands they barely know the way they do.
The Daily Mail along with the rest of these shitheads need to be stopped.
I stopped reading right after people started to give their opinions how upset i am.
They're shit. They're nothing. The fucks just want publicity from My Chemical Romance [and the rest of of the 'emo' bands they mentioned] and eat them alive. They want them down. But it doesn't seem to be happening. If the Hannah suicide thing didn't bring My Chem down.. NOTHING will.
