My Chemical Romance – TBP

I’m sure that many of you have noticed that My Chemical Romance has recently performed new songs.

I believe that a few of us agree that they’re music does not sound similar to their recent albums. Some may take this as a negative sign due to the fact that they do not sound like the band they used to but it can also be a positive thing.

Many do not like when bands seem to have the same sound in every song and if you are one of those people you wouldn’t mind their new tracks. 

For those who are accustomed to their old style and prefer it better you might be disappointed.

In my personal opinion I was slightly confused at their new style of music but as I began to further listen to their songs they seemed to have a pretty good vibe. 

I suppose it does all depend on the individual.

It is best to listen to the songs to find out whether you approve or disapprove of their new music and sound. 

Make sure to listen to them if you haven’t already.

Soo. Let’s see. I’m pretty bored.

This was spoken about awhile ago, My Chemical Romance took their videos down from YouTube. My question is; why? It’s like, not even their official videos are up there anymore. They don’t even have a display picture.

My question is; why are all of their videos down? Some say Warner Brothers pushed them to do it? If that’s so; then why is the Used’s videos still up? And so many other bands on the same label? Whoever is on the same label as MCR, how come they didn’t have the same defect like MCR did?

I don’t know if it’s just me and my small little brain, or if this makes no sense whatsoever..

For those who had visited Nerdiest-Kids.com recently, must’ve read the most exciting thing possible in that day. The ‘Rock Band: My Chemical Romance.’ Excitement much? Ah, just the remembrance of reading the cool, awesome features it had, had already got my adrenaline running. Songs such as “Honey, This Mirror Isn’t Big Enough For The Two Of Us”, “Headfirst For Halos”- and many more from ‘Bullets‘ and ‘Revenge.‘

Other features including to be each member of the band, and having the small effects, and actions that had taken place on Life On The Murder Scene all seemed to come to life on one website.

Well of course, until we all realized it was a hoax. How disappointing, right? I was all pumped, and, ‘OH! I’m gonna get that!‘

In my opinion, this would’ve been a great game to play.

But of course, I think My Chem need to hit that legendary point in Rock, like Metallica, and so many other rockers out there before getting a whole game dedicated for them.

Pills and pleasure is a fictional story about angsty teenagers.

So I gotta admit I was a little hesitate at the beginning, thinking it was yet another  ‘thypical story with boy meeting boy, falling in love the second their eyes met.’ But I was wrong, and before I even knew it,  I was completely sucked into the story. Angsty teenagers, drugs, partying, gay-boys, secrets; and I realized how incredible good the story itself was.

This story totally blew my mind, and I still can’t get enough of it!

This story isn’t only focusing on two/three characters, but actually on a lot of other people who play a part in the story as well. But we all know who have the secret relationship: Gerard Way and Frank Iero. And I have to say; the secret relationship kinda thing was genious; it leaved me on the edge all the time, wide eyed, wanting just more and more.

So, if you haven’t yet read a story with anxious teenagers, secrets and drugs, gay-love and break-ups;  I suggest you start reading. This story is so unique and leaved me on the edge all the time.
This story is about real life, and a lot of people can relate to it. And I guess that’s what makes the story so spesical; once you find a story that represent your own life, if only just a small part; you find a way to deal with the the hard stuff.

Gerard Arthur Rush Way. Otherwise known as Gerard Way. Lead vocalist, and oldest member of the alternative rock band, My Chemical Romance.

Born in Newark, New Jersey, April 9th, 1977 to parents Donna Lee Rush and Donald Way.

Gerard was raised in Belleville, New Jersey, along side with his new baby brother, Michael James Way, otherwise known as Mikey Way. In forth grade. Gerard tried out for a school play, Peter Pan. He said, ‘he did it just to prove himself that he could.’ He was the only boy to try out for the role, and got it. When his grandmother, Elena Lee Rush heard Gerard got the part, she was thrilled with excitement. For then on, she passed down her talents for singing, preforming, and art to Gerard at an early age. She taught him how to sing, dance, draw, and respect women. He’s admitted to saying, “She taught me everything i know.”

As time went on. Gerard got older, reaching the big 15, spoke of being held at gun point “I got held up with a .357 Magnum.” Gerard Way attended Belleville High School. Graduating in 1995. Deciding to carry on with his art, into the comic industry. He attended School Of Virtual Arts center in the Big Apple. A.k.a New York City. He graduated four years later with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.

In 2001, Gerard Way co-created a cartoon with Joe Boyle, Called The Breakfast Monkey. Giving the pitch to Cartoon Network, but the network rejected their idea, with claims of it being too similar to an existing cartoon, “Aqua Teen Hunger Force.”

During the tragedy of 9/11. Where Way said, ‘I witnessed the bodies falling.’ Way then realized he needed to make a difference with both himself and the world, his thoughts, his emotions came into the lyrics of ‘Skylines And Turnstiles,’ which is the first song ever written by My Chemical Romance. One year later. My Chemical Romance came to life as the band finally.. well, became a band.

Gerard battled with alcoholism, depression, and addictions to prescription medications, which only seemed to get worse when in 2004 when he heard the devastating news that his grandmother, Elena Lee Rush, had passed away. Songs such as ‘Helena’ [which is dedicated to Elena Lee Rush] helps Way let his emotions, and personal thoughts out.

On September 3rd, 2007. After a show in Colorado, Gerard married LynZ Ballato of Mindless Self Indulgence. The two tied the knot after the final Linkin Park show back stage. A member of Live Nation’s touring staff who just quintessentially happened to be an ordained minister, preformed the low-key ceremony for the two. Both LynZ and Gerard now live in Los Angles, California. In November of 2008, a representative for Way confirmed that him and his wife are expecting their first child together in the summer of 09′.

• Curiosities:

Gerard’s height is 5′9″.

Gerard’s admitted that one day while heading to work that he dressed up in drag. He said, “I went to school in drag, in art school and my day was completely different because everybody thought I was a chick. You should see me as a chick. So I went as a girl, as like an experiment and it worked really well and everyone was really nice to me but I couldn’t talk obviously… you know train conductors were really cool to me on my commute… Ha! I looked hot as a chick!”

Gerard has Hazel eyes.

His natural hair color is brown. But dyes it variously as well, preferring it black.

Gerard’s favorite band is Iron Maiden.

Gerard is half Italian [mothers side], and half Scottish [fathers side].

Gerard has Trypanophobia.. which is fear of needles, which is why he doesn’t have any tattoos.

Gerard likes creamy peanut butter and grape jelly.

He’s been sober since August of 2004. He still however, smokes cigarettes. [Marlboro Red to be more specific.]

Gerard’s first girlfriend’s name was Barbara.

Gerard has written a comic book, called the Umbrella Academy with cartoonist, Gabriel Ba. The first issue was released on September 19th, 2007.

Frank Anthony Thomas Pricolo Iero Jr. Some of us know him as Frank Iero. Rhythm guitarist, backup vocalist and youngest member of the alternative rock band My Chemical Romance.

Born the night of Halloween, Saturday, October 31st 1981 to parents Linda Pricolo and Cheech Iero.

Frank was raised in Belleville, New Jersey and attended Queen Of Peace High School. At the age of eleven found himself attracted to the musical world, especially the Punk scene. Bands such as Pencey Prep, Sector 12, Hybrid and shortly with American Nightmare (now known as Give Up The Ghost) were his basic pastimes.

Throughout high school and teenage years, Frank, unfortunately, suffered bronchitis, Epstein-Barr virus, and ear infections- along with two broken toes, four chipped teeth and lacerations to his hands, knees and head due to his eccentric performances.

After graduating from high school, Frank assisted to Rutgers University on a scholarship. Due to the frequent arguments with the keyboardist of Pencey Prep, Frank considered the offer of joining My Chemical Romance- when he unexpectedly got Mikey Way- the bassist- as his roommate.

Frank dedicates his life to music. He is definitely passionate with it.
His grandfather is his number one major influence on his passion for this art. And Frank’s father has been a great influence in his carreer.

Frank has an upcoming debut album for his new side project, LeATHERMOUTH- in which he is the lead singer/screamer and composer. He currently has his own record label, book publishing, and clothing design company- called Skeleton Crew.

• Curiosities

His natural hair color is dark brown- but dyes it various colors, one of his top used- black. He has hazel eyes. His height is 5′4″. He has piercings in his ears, lip [bottom to the left] and left nostril.

He loves reading, especially the Harry Potter series.
He’s said some of his favorite foods include, such as: chocolate cake, mashed potatoes and butter sandwiches. He’s also a vegetarian and lactose-intolerent.
Frank’s first tattoo was was a jack-o-lantern that he got on his 18th birthday. His favorite color is mauve.

Everyone has someone else in their lives that can make them hate themselves. Everyone. You have someone that with one word can run a train so full of self-loathing that, if kept on the wrong track, can cause a collision so bad that the only result is inevitably self-destruction.

This is where I scream from is a story I’ve basically been sucked into from the minute I laid my eyes on the first chapter. At once you start reading, you can feel the emotions Frank’s going through, how he struggles through his life day after day, and only getting worse, which is the result of him getting broken.

This is a story of pain, lust, blood, obsession, depression, and unrequited love. It’s a story about Frank Iero, a man who’s in love with his best friend; Gerard Way.

He is an introvert who is constantly plagued by depressing thoughts. He’s almost a slave to his mind, and desperately in love with the one person that makes him hate himself so much that it’s causing him to develop a downward spiral of self-harm. And oh boy, I must say I love where this storyline is going.

“I’m not emo, and I’m not some desperate kid looking for attention. I do it because I like it.”

My thoughts on the story? Well, I must say that this is one of the best fan fictions I’ve read for a very long time. It just has everything a good story should have. It feels real, and that’s the number one rule on my list for a good story. You’ll read a lot about blood during the story, so I warn you kids who gets a pale face just by hearing the word ‘blood; this is not a story for you. But on the other hand, we kiddos with a little bit more bones in our body will enjoy reading this as much as we’d enjoy our mother cooking for us. So don’t hesitate about reading this, because you’ll soon find yourself go thinking about the story at the end of this review anyways.

So how far would you go to get the man you love? Or in other words; would you let yourself suffer so deeply, that you in a brief second could see the death in front of you, calling for you..? At least that’s what Frank Iero would, and does to himself every day. And it doesn’t help that he don’t have the guts to tell his secret love that he has such strong feelings for him that he would do anything in his powers to make him his own. But Frank Iero, the fragile one; he doesn’t have the guts. Not just yet. Or does he?

So come on guys, now it’s only one thing to do; read it!

Wind-up Toy (Frerard) is a fictional story that portrays the life that circles the characters: Frank Iero, Gerard Way, and other minor characters.

When we imagine meeting our true love we imagine things like bumping in to someone at a coffee shop, the mall, an amusement park or possibly a party, right? Well let me ask you this, have you ever imagined meeting someone when they’re dancing in the middle of the street? Didn’t think so. Well so much for love at first sight, because that’s how Gerard met Frank.

Gerard of course was not thinking of true love at the time, because he was actually struggling to get his life back on track. Like all of us, he fell off the saddle and just laid there with bruises, scrapes and possibly a few scratches for some time. He constantly tried to drink his problems away, trying to make everything numb, wishing it would all go away in a puff of smoke. Of course, life’s problems don’t go away the instant we snap our fingers.

Gerard decided to help Frankie out and take him in. You know how first impressions can be hazy at times? Well, Gerard thought Frankie was on drugs. If you didn’t know what was really going on with Frankie, you would have thought the same.

In reality Frank suffers from numerous mental problems. The only one that can be for certain is his schizophrenia. He has a line of things wrong with him from hallucinations, speech impediment, and angry outbursts, to a mild case of mental retardation.

It’d be hard to deal with Frankie if you didn’t have much patience, because he had major mood swings, in a manner of speaking. But of course, not everyone that had encountered Frank had patience for him.

Slowly the feelings between the two grow and tie them together in a complicated relationship that goes from miserable moments to the happiest of all.

We all know that love is a difficult thing but sometimes love conquers all. Or so we say, but it’s true between Gerard and Frank.

Gerard tries his best from day one to take care of Frank to his fullest potential. Frank seems to be his only motivation to find a job to pay for all the daily necessities, such as his pills.

Throughout these series of events Gerard has a number of people helping him out from time to time, from his friends to his mother. They all are a great deal of help to him on different levels.

Oh, this love story has its ups and downs, moments that’ll make you cry and moments that’ll make you giggle but to find out more, you’ll have to read it yourself…

Frank goes to art school. [Frerard] is a fictional story that centers on Frank Iero and others’ lives; it’s set in New York.

Frank is sent to an art school in New York, as advised by his counselor. Frank has had an unpleasent past, and is slowly on his way to recovery. Over the years, he has lost everyone he’s cared for, sending him into a deep depression. His parent’s took his counselors advice, letting him live on his own in New York, with the hopes of alleviating his mental distress.

The first couple of weeks were awkward for him, since he didn’t know anyone, and it was rare that anyone would willingly communicate with him, with the exception the weird guy that would continuously touch him during class. Of course, what life without encountering random strangers now and then?

Frank had his first encounter with Gerard when he accidently bumped into him, and then shyly walked away. After that, they were reunited at school when Gerard is assigned to assist Frank with his homework. The situation was uncomfortable for them both for numerous reasons.

Franks infatuation with Gerard began the instant he looked at him. His good looks tied Frank down and intrigued him. He found himself flirting with Gerard, but he denied that he could possibly like him. He believed that there’s no way he would be interested in Gerard, because he likes girls. So why would he think of Gerard in that way?

Over the course of time, Frank and Gerard became close, closer than friends. They were thrown into a web of difficult emotions. Tears were shed, arguments screamed, and pain felt, as they difficultly and painfully confess their feelings for one another. Frank and Gerards relationship is a complicated one. They both keep secrets from each other. Frank doesn’t understand certain things about Gerard’s life, like why he likes another man, Bert. It’s hard for them to confess their feelings.

Who says a man doesn’t have secrets? Frank has kept many secrets of his past, how he lost the ones he loved, how he lost that one.  Gerard on the other hand has a couple of dark secrets himself.  Do you know what they do to guys in prison?  Oh well, honey, you have no clue.  Maybe Gerard can give you a hint.  Where do you think he met Bert?  Right, you don’t know who Bert is.  Let’s just say Gerard and Bert met under incredulous circumstances and have been buddies ever since.  But they do have one weird friendship.  You know why that is?  No? Both Frank and Gerard made the mistake of getting involved with one another and holding back all of their secrets but they each did it in order to protect the other and to save themselves some cruel opinions.

Once you read this rollercoaster tale of these men’s lives, you’ll understand.
